It is frightening to see how much data they collect and keep. There are likely years and years of searches you've made which are stored under your name. Undoubtedly this can offer some benefits, but many of those are for the company rather than you. After all, that is why it is nearly free to receive the myriad of useful services they provide. It belongs to you though and Google makes it easy for you to delete it.
If you've not done so, you might want to occasionally clear all the stuff that's saved under your accounts. Why don't you see how many hundreds or thousands of items are associated with your Google account now. It will not hurt to rid them of enormous chunks of your past, especially your location data. In fact, I have set a reoccurring reminder to delete my data on a monthly basis. Is it ironic that I'm doing so by using my Google Calendar?Web & App Activity
